"When working as an au pair in Torino, Italy this past summer, I travelled with my employer to Menton, France for a week. Everyday on my lunch break I would stroll through the old city, admiring the pastel colours and shrubbery on century old buildings. Nuzzled next to the Italian border, Menton is a popular tourist attraction in the Côte d'Azur along the way to Monte Carlo and Nice. It’s so close to the Italian border that I actually walked across on my lunch break one day without any passport due to the EU’s relaxed customs at border crossings.
Photo 1 shows two very different gargoyles outside a residence, while photos 2-3 show off the lovely pastels and greenery in the town. Photo 4 faces east where you can see Italian coast in the distance."
